Successful in the south of Brandenburg

The districts of Elbe-Elster, Oberspreewald-Lausitz and Spree-Neiße as well as the urban district of Cottbus form the catchment area of the Regional Office South Brandenburg. Welcome to the industrial and energy region of Lusatia:

The region in the south of Brandenburg scores with its excellent transport links and central location close to the growht markets in Eastern Europe. BASF is just as much at home here as Vestas, Voestalpine or Hamburger-Rieger. With new research facilities and projects such as the ‘Big Battery’, Lusatia is a focal point of the German energy transition.

The Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus and other research institutions – as collaboration partners – promote technology transfer between research and companies.

Lusatia. A tough region.

Lusatia is undergoing a transformation and is becoming the No. 1 sustainability region in Germany. Coal is going, energy is staying, new things are coming - plenty of room for ideas and innovations. What's happening in and with Lusatia is rad. Wickedly new. Exciting. Thrilling. That is also the leading motive of the new campaign for Lusatia - a tough region!
